Pasta Amore

INTRODUCTION:

Pasta Amore, 11027 Prairie Brook Road, deserves your attention. Everything was well done and to perfection. We really could not find anything to improve on. Pasta Amore is located in the Rock Brook Village shopping area in West Omaha. They describe themselves as a ‘homey trattoria”. They have seating inside and there is also a nice patio outside which is lovely if the weather cooperates.

THE FOOD:

We ordered our choice of beverages and appetizers. We enjoyed the Tomato Bread (Bruschetta) and the Eggplant Parmigiana. Their appetizer menu is quite varied ($5 to $13) and it would be easy to combine a couple of favorites to make your meal. But you really want to study their dinner menu with so many options, it was difficult to decide. They have a variety of salads (Caesar, Burrata, and Grilled Vegetable, all which you could add protein to if you wish), Calamari, Steak and Seafood salads. The soup options are Minestrone or Pasta Faggioli (which they call Belly Button Soup- Delicious!)

The entrees are served with a choice of soup or salad. Fresh baked bread arrives with the soup or salad course.

The pasta dishes are extensive. Jim chose the pasta combination of cannelloni, lasagna, ravioli and tortellini in a cream sauce with bacon. He loved every bite of his meal. You can also choose your style of pasta and sauce and create your own dish.

Patty had a special that night which was The salmon seafood special . She also was delighted with her choice. Sarah ordered her favorite of grilled salmon served with potatoes and fresh broccoli which was blissful from first bite to last. Rick ordered the chicken Marsala and was equally pleased with his option. There are beef, pork, veal, chicken, salmon, shrimp, clam, calamari and Italian Sausage based dishes. Sauces include Alfredo, Marinara, Bolognese, Hot and Naked, Carbonara, Pesto and Tuna Sauce. Entrees were $21 to $36 which included the soup or salad and hot bread.

We did not save room for dessert but should have! Cannoli, Spumoni Ice Cream, Italian Custard, Turtle Cheese and Tirami Su were available. ($6 to $8).

THE SERVICE:

The service is impeccable. The décor is lovely and welcoming. Don’t miss this true Italian delight!
